The ApartmentHub tool facilitates organized apartment hunting by allowing users to extract and format the listing information most relevant to them. The ApartmentHub form integrates cleanly with online apartment listings, and automatically populates its fields when a new listing is identified. Users have the option to edit or supplement this information before it is saved into a cleanly-structured listing template. These listings can be filtered a number of ways, including by price, number of bedrooms, and location. Each apartment listing is identically formatted to produce a set of easy-to-browse apartment reference documents. These coherent reference pages support collaborative apartment searching by providing a common template for information that comes from multiple people and locations.

Apartment searching is a process that draws on multiple resources, and is carried out over a span of days, weeks, or months. A variety of websites offer apartment listings, including Craigslist.org, ApartmentFinder.com, and Rent.com. While some of these resources provide structured listings, others, like Craigslist.org, allow listing creators to format their listings how they like. Everyone has a list of important criteria in mind when looking for an apartment, and what is important to one may be inconsequential to another. Apartment hunting involves the extraction of relevant information from a vast array of available resources in order to make an informed decision. There is an opportunity to simplify this process by helping searchers to extract relevant information and display it in an intuitive manner that facilitates re-finding.

ApartmentHub supports users by providing a cohesive, structured approach to the often scattered process of apartment hunting.
